If you search for WIKA Mobile Control in history books, you may not find much. But the team of WIKA Mobile Control from Ettlingen has already been working for 50 years to enable safer operation of mobile machines under harsh conditions. What’s the story?
We began our journey not as WIKA Mobile Control, but as PAT Prozess-Automatisierungstechnik, which was founded in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1968 and emerged from the shadows by patenting the world’s first electromechanical overload protection device, the AS 310. This laid the foundation of a highly successful enterprise that now employs 400 people in three countries and is known worldwide for maximizing the safety of mobile machines.
The 1982 development of the first digital load moment indication system, the DS 350, catapulted us into the role of world market leader in safe load indication for telescopic and lattice-boom cranes. More milestones followed, including the mobile iFLEX5 controller, the iVISOR Maestro and the iSCALE control system. Our product development activities are backed by a long list of certificates that prove the high safety standards of WIKA Mobile Control components and systems.
We’re firmly committed to developing highly innovative, end-to-end solutions as a system integrator. Customers come with their projects, and we provide them with complete, custom-tailored solutions that meet their unique future safety requirements today. Nothing has changed in this sense in 50 years, and we will continue to add new chapters to our success story as WIKA Mobile Control.
Our management team thanks all of our customers, business partners, suppliers and especially our employees for their excellent past and future work and collaboration in a spirit of trust! We look forward to supporting you in your future projects!
