What is WIKA Mobile Control?

Hirschmann MCS is being carved out of Hirschmann Automation & Control GmbH to strategically strengthen the WIKA Group under the new name of WIKA Mobile Control.

What exactly will the new company be called?

With effect from January 1, 2018, Hirschmann Mobile Control Solutions (MCS) will use the new name of WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG. The site in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania will be called WIKA Mobile Control LP.

Hirschmann MCS will supplement WIKA’s product and application competencies in force, pressure and temperature measurement with its expertise in system integration and mobile control solutions in the demanding field of mobile machines.

Where will the new business unit be located?

The WIKA Mobile Control business unit will comprise Hirschmann MCS in Ettlingen (in Germany), Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (in the U.S.) and a stake in a joint venture in Xuzhou (in China). All of the existing sites and production facilities will continue to operate, and your contacts will remain the same.

What will change in our employees’ email addresses?

From now on, you can reach your contacts at email addresses with the format firstname.lastname@wika.com. The only part that is different is the domain name.

What is important for buyers?

We are trying to do everything possible to minimize your organizational overhead. Please enter us in your system as a new supplier, and starting immediately please address your correspondence to WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG.

How should I deal with sums owed to Hirschmann MCS?

Until January 1, 2018, please settle all debts owed to Hirschmann MCS by making payment to the account of WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG. These accounts receivable will pass from Hirschmann MCS to WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG in connection with the transition.

What do I need to know as a supplier?

We are trying to do everything possible to minimize your organizational overhead.

Please enter us in your system as a new customer, and starting immediately please address your correspondence to WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG.

Until January 1, 2018, your deliveries invoiced to Hirschmann MCS will also be paid for by Hirschmann MCS. Please bill WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG for all deliveries that arrive after January 1, 2018; they will also be paid by WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG.

Who should receive payment for new liabilities arising after the transition?

Deliveries made by January 1, 2018 and invoiced to Hirschmann MCS will also be paid for by Hirschmann MCS. All deliveries received after January 1, 2018 should be invoiced to WIKA Mobile Control GmbH & Co. KG, which will also pay for them.

Will the current price lists continue to apply?

Yes, the current prices will retain their validity.

Will quotations and bids submitted by Hirschmann MCS remain valid?

Yes, quotations and bids submitted by Hirschmann MCS will remain valid after the transition.

Who should I send my order confirmations to?

Starting on January 1, 2018, please send order confirmations to purchase.wmc@wika.com.

Will submitted warranty claims in process be continued to the new company?

Yes, warranty claims will be continue to be processed.
