• The right to erasure / right to be forgotten (Art. 17 GDPR),
• The right to restriction of data processing (Art. 18 GDPR).

To exercise these rights, please contact:

The same applies if you have any questions regarding data processing in our company or when you withdraw your consent. You also have a right of appeal to the relevant data protection supervisory authority.

1. Right to object

Please note the following with respect to your right to object:

When we process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to this data processing at any time without providing the reasons for such objection. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with direct marketing.

If you object to the processing for direct marketing, we will no longer process your personal data for such purposes. The objection is free of charge and can be made informally, where appropriate to: marketing.wmc@wika.com.

Should we process your data to protect legitimate interests, you may object to such processing at any time for reasons that arise from your specific situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will then cease to process your personal information unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing such information that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is intended to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

2. Purposes and legal bases of data processing

The processing of your personal data complies with the provisions of the GDPR and all other applicable data protection regulations. Legal bases for data processing arise in particular from Art. 6 GDPR.

We use your data to initiate business, to fulfil contractual and legal obligations, to conduct the contractual relationship, to offer products and services and to consolidate customer relationships, which may include marketing and direct marketing.

Your consent is also a permission regulation for data protection. Here we inform you about the purposes of data processing and your right of revocation. If the consent also refers to the processing of special categories of personal data, we will expressly point this out to you in the consent.

Processing of special categories of personal data in the sense of Art. 9 Paragraph 1 EU-GDPR only takes place if this is required by legal regulations and there is no reason to assume that your legitimate interest in the exclusion of processing predominates.

3. Data transfers / Disclosure to third parties

We will only transmit your data to third parties within the scope of given statutory provisions or based on consent. In all other cases, information will not be transferred to third parties unless we are obliged to do so owing to mandatory legal regulations (disclosure to external bodies, including the supervisory authorities or law enforcement authorities).

4. Data recipients / categories of recipients

In our organisation, we ensure that only individuals who are required to process the relevant data to fulfil their contractual and legal obligations are authorised to handle personal data. In certain cases, however, your data is also collected, processed and used by other companies of the WIKA Group (group companies) or by service providers in a business relationship with us.

In many cases, service providers assist our specialist departments to fulfil their tasks. The necessary data protection contract has been concluded with all service providers. The transfer of data by service providers to third parties is expressly prohibited.

5. Transfers of personal data to third countries

Data are generally not transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area). Any external data storage devices we may use are hosted within the European Union. Should a data transfer to third countries take place in individual cases, this will be indicated separately in each case. All data protection requirements are fulfilled, in particular in these individual cases an EU standard contract is concluded with the business partner.

6. Period of data storage

We store your data for as long as such is required for the relevant processing purposes. Please note that numerous retention statutory periods require that data must be stored for a specific period of time. This relates in particular to retention obligations for commercial or fiscal purposes (e.g. commercial code, tax code, etc.). The data will be routinely deleted after use unless a further period of retention is required.

We may also retain data if you have given us your permission to do so, or in the event of any legal disputes and we use the evidence within the statutory limitation period, which may be up to 30 years; the standard limitation period is 3 years.

7. Secure transfer of data

We implement the appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure the optimal protection of the data stored by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. The security levels are continuously reviewed in collaboration with security experts and adapted to new security standards.

The data exchange to and from our website is encrypted. We provide https as a transfer protocol for our website, and always use the current encryption protocols. a. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of the Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called „Cookies“, text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website will be passed on to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In case of activation of the IP anonymization on this website, your IP-address is previously abbreviated by Google in member states of the European union or in other states party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the complete IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Under the authority of the operator of this website Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to produce reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to the use of the website and of the internet.

The IP address on your browser which is transferred via Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of the cookies by corresponding setting of your browser software. b. Lead Forensics

Technology of Lead Forensics Limited is used to capture, process and store data on website visitors in order to identify and statistically evaluate organizations interested in our products and services. Visitors’ IP addresses are identified based on these data only if it can be reliably established that they are acting on behalf of a business and not as private individuals. Lead Forensics does not require the use of cookie technology.

Data captured by Lead Forensics Limited on companies may also contain personal data. Lead Forensics Limited can use information left behind by website visits to create anonymized utilization profiles. To the extent that IP addresses are captured, these are immediately anonymized by deleting their last group of digits. Permission for Lead Forensics Limited to capture and store of data for this website can be denied at any time with indefinite effect.

For more information about the collection, processing and storage of your data, please refer to Lead Forensics' privacy policy.

c. Google reCAPTCHA

To protect against spam when submitting forms, we use the service Google reCAPTCHA, an offer of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The use of this service allows a distinction to be made between input in the form by a natural person and misuse through automated processing (spam). Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a justified interest in protecting his web offers from abusive automated spying and from spam.

In order to recognize behind which input a natural person stands, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the web site visitor on the basis of different characteristics. This analysis starts as soon as the visitor enters the website. For the analysis reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, the time the website visitor stays on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

For this data the deviating data protection regulations of Google Inc. apply, which you can see under https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy.

d. Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Maps is a web service that displays interactive (land) maps to visually represent geographic information. Using this service will show you our location and make it easier for you to get there.

Already when you call up the subpages in which the Google Maps map is integrated, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transferred to Google's servers in the USA and stored there. This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether there is no user account. If you're logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want your profile to be associated with Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google saves your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. In particular, such evaluation shall be carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit.f DSGVO on the basis of Google's legitimate interests in the display of personalised advertising, market research and/or the design of its website to meet requirements. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles and must contact Google to exercise this right.

Google LLC, headquartered in the United States, is certified under the EU-U.S. “Privacy Shield” Agreement, which ensures compliance with EU privacy standards.

If you do not agree with the future transmission of your data to Google within the scope of the use of Google Maps, there is also the possibility of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website can then not be used. Google Terms of Use can be found at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html

The additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html

Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website ("Google Privacy Policy"): http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

17. Links Social Media

On our website you will find links to the social media services of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. Links to the social media services websites can be recognized by the respective company logo. If you follow these links, you will reach ARP's corporate website at the respective social media service. When you click on a link to a social media service, a connection is established to the servers of the social media service. By this means it is transmitted to the servers of the Social Media Service that you have visited our website. In addition, further data is transferred to the provider of the social media service. These are for example:

  • Address of the web page where the activated link is located
  • Date and time the website was accessed or the link activated
  • Information about the used browser and operating system
  • IP address

If you are already logged in to the corresponding social media service at the time the link is activated, the provider of the social media service may be able to determine your user name and possibly even your real name from the transmitted data and assign this information to your personal user account with the social media service. You can exclude this possibility of the assignment to your personal user account, if you log out before from your user account.

The servers of the Social Media Services are located in the USA and other countries outside the European Union. The data may therefore be processed by the social media service provider in countries outside the European Union. Please note that companies in these countries are subject to a data protection law that does not generally protect personal data to the same extent as is the case in the member states of the European Union.

Please note that we have no influence on the scope, type and purpose of data processing by the provider of the social media service. Further information on the use of your data by the social media services included on our website can be found in the privacy policy of the respective social media service.

18. Online offers for children

Persons under the age of 16 may not submit personal data to us or give a declaration of consent without the authorisation of their legal guardian. We encourage parents and guardians to actively participate in the online activities and interests of their children.

19. Links to other providers

Our website also contains clearly identifiable links to the Internet sites of other companies. Although we provide links to websites of other providers, we have no influence on their content, and no guarantee or liability can therefore be assumed for such. The content of these pages is always the responsibility of the respective provider or operator of the pages.

The linked pages were checked at the time of linking for potential legal violations and identifiable infringements. No illegal content was identified at the time of linking. However, a permanent content control of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement and, upon notification of a violation of rights, such links will be promptly removed.
